I believe that words matter.
People have trusted me for years to ensure that their words work as intended. I have served as an editor in the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors. My in-house positions have included Developmental Editor for Oxford University Press, Senior Decision Writer and Editor for the Government of Canada, and Input Editor for the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan. As a freelancer, I have worked with students and professors, native and non–native English speakers, writers and non-writers. Because their ideas mattered to them, their words mattered to me.
I have a Bachelor of Arts (English Literature and Political Science) from the University of Regina, graduate credits in English Language and Literature from Carleton University, and a Certificate in Publishing from Ryerson University.

ABOUT ME
I worked with Nadine Coderre over the course of approximately nine months, while I was writing and she was editing my introductory textbook titled Fundamentals of International Aviation. Nadine is very technically skilled with language, able to find ways to express ideas that improve grammar, clarity, and structure. She also had a careful eye for editing the many figures within the book, catching small errors in images I had missed (although I had looked at them dozens of times).
I was also very impressed in her ability to think beyond the text and draw connections within the material that were unclear in the initial drafting. Nadine formatted the hundreds of figures, tables, and textboxes within the manuscript, in a manner that was highly praised by my publisher when the manuscript was submitted. Overall, I found her to be an exceptional editor whose skills enhanced and expanded my own and led to a finished product that I am very proud of. I hope to work with her again on future editions of the textbook.
